Women around the World Unite

All over the world there are oppressed women who need our support and examples of bravery that require our solidarity.

In Tunisia, heiress of ancient Carthage who dared to defy the Roman power several times for hundreds of years, giving rise to the 3 Punic Wars and in the end the proud Carthage was reduced to ashes. That same Carthage that inspired the tragedy of Dido abandoned by Aeneas, may it serve as an example for us not to be lost for any man or woman, continues to give us examples of great women that we must support.

In Tunes a young Tunisian woman bravely confronts a band of Islamists who wanted to force her to veil herself. Jamais la Tunisie ne sera l'Afghanistan (this is Tunisia, a country with more than 3000 years of history! You, you are only intruders, upstarts of history, the descendants of the bloodthirsty Okba Ibn Nafu .. Tunisia will never be Afghanistan).

Meanwhile in Afghanistan women have taken up guns in northern and central Afghanistan, marching in the streets in their hundreds and sharing pictures of themselves with assault rifles on social media, in a show of defiance as the Taliban make sweeping gains nationwide.

One of the biggest demonstrations was in central Ghor province, where hundreds of women turned out at the weekend, waving guns and chanting anti-Taliban slogans.

Are they alone?

If they are they should not be. Shame on us if we fail to support these brave women that fought for us all. An enslaved woman anywhere in the world is a defeat for all women and a shame for all evolved and rational men.

Let them listen our uproar! Let they know we are backing them!
