Possibly never before has a signing of a Second Territorial Division handball team in Spain raised so much expectation. This is Mireia Rodríguez, who has just joined the ranks of CB Albacete, in an operation that is already sports history: she is the first woman to join a men's team.

The player and the team have thus completed an operation in which both want to show that handball can be made even more equal. "They fought it, they fought it and finally they let me compete," says the new addition to the La Mancha team.

What Mireia brings is "speed, speed, agility, technique, tactics and intelligence" for the club, according to the technicians and new teammates of the player, who are delighted by the signing.
