Still have pain
Seven months after Ana Carrasco fell off her motorcycle and fractured two vertebrae, the spanish rider is now only thinking about refueling her Kawasaki. She is a born winner, and she has already won the battle that led her to undergo surgery and took her away from the circuits, where she is like a fish in water.
The former Supersport 300 world champion in 2018, and the first woman to win in a global competition, she will feel the adrenaline rush of the championship again next May. From 21 to 23 the first test will be run at Motorland Aragón and, from that moment, Carrasco will seek to reach the top.
«Physically I am still not at one hundred percent. When I pilot I still have some pains, but in the tests I go quite fast. I am calm because I will arrive well. I'll try to fight to win, but I want to take it easy because I've been away for a while »
These words were pronounced by Carrasco in San Pedro del Pinatar, at the presentation ceremony of 'Costa Cálida' as the new sponsor of Cehegín. With an endowment of 40,000 euros, the Community supports in this way a pilot who made history. And she wants to keep doing it. “We always need more support. And more me, that I depend so much on the team. That we are the image of the Region throughout the world is something that makes me look forward to it, ”she admitted.
Carrasco will carry the brand 'Costa Cálida' on the motorcycle and on the helmet, as well as on other advertising elements of the team. It is the first time that the Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism and Sports has launched a sponsorship linked to the entire Spanish season, which in 2013 became the youngest woman to debut in the Moto3 World Championship and in 2017 was the first woman who won a world motorcycle test.
