Mahjabin Hakimi execution
October 22, the Italian volleyball federation reported according to sources from the Afghan national team of that sport that the player Mahjabin Hakimi had been beheaded by the Taliban. Her accusation has been to play at a professional level, a sport that the Taliban believe women should not practice. The rest of the participants of the national team are currently in hiding, one detained and two have managed to flee abroad.
The outrage in the Western world for this fact is being very limited because neither the Taliban nor the Islamic extremists are considered by the social groups that control these social reactions in the West as someone worth confronting, even comparing the situation of these women with that of women in Spain, as recently stated by the Spanish Minister of Equality Irene Montero.
The situation of all the members of the women's Olympic team whose whereabouts is unknown is of great concern both for their families and for true feminists and anyone with a minimum of empathy anywhere in the world.
