A WOMAN TO THE MOON

The next human step on the moon will be of a woman…

Fifty years after the last Apollo flights, the American Artemis program, led by NASA, must open a series of lunar explorations which will be planned on several years. From 2025, its ambition is to place a first crew, including women astronauts, on the moon. With the long-term objective of organizing regular missions and installing a permanent base that will serve as model for future missions to Mars.

Until now the mission suffered development delays for the rocket that was due to fly in 2018, delayed due to the pandemic, storms like Hurricane Ida, among others, extended the mission schedule.

NASA remains optimistic, however. And plans a first preparation launch by 29th of August, if the shooting window allows it.

In all case NASA's final Objective is to have a woman doing the first step on the moon during this mission.
