90.000 PEAPLE TO SEE ONE FEMENIN FUTBOL GAME
The Camp Nou will live a historic full on March 30. The club has announced that the tickets for Barça-Madrid, corresponding to the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Women's Champions League, have been sold out. It is the first official European match for the women's team to be held at the Barça stadium. But it will be the second game since before, January 2021, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the match played by the Ciutat de Barcelona team, the league derby was played against Espanyol. But due to the pandemic it had to be held behind closed doors. If the covid does not prevent it, the Champions League duel against Madrid will crush the attendance record for a women's football match in Spain, easily surpassing Atlético-Barça in 2019, which brought together 60,739 spectators at the Wanda Metropolitano. Counting the seats reserved for rival fans and institutional commitments, it could reach the maximum capacity allowed: 99,354 spectators.
Until now, the best attendance figures at the Barcelona temple this season were the 86,442 spectators for the men's Clásico and the derby against Espanyol (74,418).
The brand new Ballon d'Or of Alexia Putellas and the desire that Barcelona have to see their team beat Madrid at some point, the last time it was almost in black and white, has influenced the extremely high demand for tickets.
