LOZEN - The Apache female Warrior

I want to share with you the story of Lozen. An amazing Apache Female Warrior during 19th century. She was the sister of Victorio, a warrior and chief of the Chiricahuas Apaches in the region now known as New Mexico. Born in the 1840s, Lozen was considered as an experienced warrior and a shawoman. According to her shamanic legend, she was able to use her powers (Diya) during a battle to know the movement of her enemies. Victorio said of her: "Lozen is my right hand ... strong as a man, braver than most of them, a true strategist and a protection for our people. " Her Shamanic legend was mostly created because no one was able to understand her strategic interpretation of a battlefield... so everything was hidden behind those extra extrasensory phenomena. Lozen fought more campaigns against the Mexicans and the Americans than any of other great Apache warlords, like Cochise, Mangas Coloradas, Juh, Geronimo or even her own brother Victorio.
