MZKATZ_LVS_PR interview

Claire_B_dO met with MzKatz_LvS_PR on February 14th at Claire’s Paris property for her interview for the Amazon Times.

CLAIRE_B_DO: First if all I would like to thank you for meeting me.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: You are most welcome, my pleasure.

CLAIRE_B_DO: The first question I’d like to ask is how long have you been in RLC?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I’ve been here since 2009, so 14 years.

CLAIRE_B_DO: 2009. Wow, that’s a long time.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Yes, some days it seems like it went too fast and others it’s like a lifetime.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Do you remember what first brought you here?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I was in an online chat room and a friend here invited me to come here with her to check things out. We were both Green and couldn’t do much. We went to Faster Pussycat and got ‘drunk’ on beers. We over-indulged and staggered around laughing a lot.

CLAIRE_B_DO: That’s pretty much how I came here too, and what keeps you here?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: All the friends over the years. I’ve made a lot of great friendships.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Yes, one thing RLC has going for it is the Community here. I remember when I first came here I thought I’d be here a month, two at the most before the novelty wore off. That was in 2015.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I have gone to other 3d sites and still prefer RLC/Utherverse and I remember when I was new being so engrossed and invested in RLC that I even dreamed about it.

CLAIRE_B_DO: That sounds very familiar! How long have you been running the parties at Purple Rain?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Purple Rain was started in 2010 by Alexa_PR. She ran the club until 2013, passing it to her girlfriend Marileen and I took over in 2014.

CLAIRE_B_DO: It’s a really nice place and the atmosphere is always good which is a credit to you. Sadly I can never stay long because of the time difference but I always enjoy my time there.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Yes, it’s always been a Women’s Club, a place to hang out with other women.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Aside from Purple Rain, do you have any other favourite places in world?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I enjoy the parties at Star Burst on Mondays and Saturdays at Buccaneer Cove. Also the Glass Ceiling on Tuesdays. And spending time with my RLC family and friends. They are what really keep me coming back here.

CLAIRE_B_DO: And may I ask where is your favourite place in the real world?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Home is one place. And I’m lucky enough to have a real Caboose, that is a Camp, close to home, but in the woods.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Sounds lovely.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Out in nature.

CLAIRE_B_DO: And is there a place you’d really like to visit but haven’t yet?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I would love to visit England, Ireland and Scotland. Maybe not all in one trip but there is so much History there to explore.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Yeah, I have lived in England for most of my life and there are so many places here that I haven’t been to. And I consider myself to be reasonably well travelled. It reminds me of the saying comparing America and Britain. In Britain 100 miles is a long way and in America 100 years is a long time.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Yes, we don’t have a lot of History here in the US. So amazing to have thousands of years like you do. We have 2 Oceans and a Gulf. So much over there to see and learn.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Yeah, I know of places in the town I live in that are 600 years and there is a place not far from me that was the Roman Capital of Britain.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I guess we also have the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.

CLAIRE_B_DO: There is a building in the town I live in called The Ancient House. It has 4 stone frieze like things on the wall up near the roof which are called Pargetting. They represent the 4 continents of Europe, Asia, Africa and America. There isn’t one for Australasia as that hadn’t been discovered by Europeans when it was built.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Wow!

CLAIRE_B_DO: Going back to talking about RLC, if you were in charge of it what one change would you make?

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Fixing the Boot Monster would be on the top of the list!

CLAIRE_B_DO: Yes, the RLC Constant. The Boot Monster gets everyone.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I don’t know what else I’d change as I find RLC much easier to use than other 3d platforms. Our AVI’s look pretty good so can’t complain about that. We have great clothes too.

CLAIRE_B_DO: I have never been to any other platforms. Have too much time invested here to start over somewhere else. And I’m sure lots of people feel the same way.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: Yes, that’s why I am still here. I went and looked at other platforms but I like it here. We also have a great Community as you said.

CLAIRE_B_DO: You say about the AVI’s, that’s one thing that has always impressed me. You really can recognize people just from how they look here.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR Yes, it’s not just a handful of faces to choose from or hairstyles. You see people and instantly know who it is.

CLAIRE_B_DO: I understand there is a possibility of you being Inducted into the RLC Hall of Fame this year. That must have been a nice surprise.

MZKATZ_LVS_PR: I hadn’t heard about until Aliona from the Galaxy Girls mentioned it. I haven’t heard back from anyone about being inducted though. If me or Purple Rain are being considered then I am thrilled, what an honour! And it will be a huge surprise. Purple Rain won Best Women’s Club in the RLC Awards back in 2010 and again in 2011, 2012 and 2013. We won again in 2014 and 2015 after I took over. We then won a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016 but weren’t considered the last time the RLC Awards were done in 2017 so I thought there would be no more awards for Purple Rain.

CLAIRE_B_DO: Ok, I think that just about wraps things up. Thank you again for agreeing to meet with me.
