BEING A WOMEN AND AN INVENTOR ?

We all know that, In the history, being women was not easy. Women were not considered as equal. It's only during the 20th century mentalities started changing (a bit) and women won the right to work and vote....

So, what About being a Woman scientist or inventor OMG... I was chocked to notice how much inventions have been stolen and attributed to men just because the inventor was a women. So let's have a quick overview into some of these injustices and let's name the Forgotten....they deserve it.

LET'S START GENTLY WITH THE MONOPOLY :

Yes i'm speaking about the table top game. The invention was attributed to Charles Darrow in 1934 but in reality this guy stole the idea from a game invented by Elizabeth Magie 30 years before ok she was a woman but she also created the game to condemn the extreme liberalism.... It was a double sentence, she was a woman and a socialist.

THE NUCLEAR FISSION :

The theory of the nuclear fission is attributed in history to the Austrian scientist Otto Hahn. This guy won the Nobel prize in 1944 for this discovery. But in reality it has been discovered in 1938 by Lise Meitner. But of course she was a woman and double sentence she was a 1938 Jewish. gotcha?

THE DNA STRUCTURE :

In history books the discovery of the structure of the DNA is attributed to Francis Crick & James Watson. This discovery revolutionized scientific approach to medicine. These two guys won a Medicine Nobel prize for this amazing discovery. But as a matter of fact this discovery have been done by scientist Rosalind Franklin. But she was a Woman so....

PULSAR STARS :

Jocelyn Bell Brunell was a Cambridge student during the 60'. And she discovered the astronomical Pulsars (the pulsars are stars that have a weird magnetic radiation...Purpy will explain you this phenomenon better than me lol). But the issue with Jocelyn is that she was a student and she was a woman... So the discovery have been attributed to Antony Hewish who won the Nobel prize for it.

THE CHROMOSOMES X AND Y

In history books the person who discovered the chromosomes X and Y was Thomas Hunt Morgan... This was one of the most important discovery in modern medicine. Thomas won the Nobel prize in 1933 for this discovery. But, actually this discovery have been made by Nettie Stevens...But she was a student and of course a woman.

This list is a tiny part of all the the inventions stolen to women.

But the most important is to remember their names and to fight to never let theses injustices happen again.
