KUETOPIA
Kuteopia runs more or less monthly parties always crowded and fun. Last time we went there it was summer solstice pagan party and we took the opportunity to have some words with Kerri, KuteKerri an attractive character so much fascinating as shy.
Claire: What was your main motivation on building Kuteopia? Merry Meet everybody! KuteKerri: It came about by accident really. I am interested in design and got into doing deco here in rlc. In fact I got quite addicted to it at one stage not doing much else. I started like alot of people just decorating my zaby and then it grew and I decided I would build Stonehenge as I am interested in Paganism and the Wiccan ways. As I was building I thought to myslef why not make this into a club as there isn't really anything like this here in rlc, so that's what I did. Claire: What does it mean Kuteopia? KuteKerri: Kuteopia is just a play on words. Utopia was an fictional island and a place of wonder and beauty. It also represents something positive and a happy place. Also opium is a recreational drug used to help people relax have fun and party and I hope my club does that at least a little bit. I am not into drugs in the slightest by the way! Well maybe I get drunk from time to time haha! Of course I changed it from Utopia to 'Kute'opia because it is sort of my signature as I was called cute from a young age and that sort of stuck with me Claire: Kuteopia is a Pagan or Wiccan styled Club. What do you have to tell us regarding these belief systems? KuteKerri: I like the idea of being a part of nature. We are all put on this planet as equals with other creatures and we should repect that. Paganism and Wicca embrace these values without the need for control and confict which so many religions succome to. I love celebrating the sabbats and remembering that we are all natures children and how wonderful the world realy is. Claire: How many venues have you made so far and with which periodicity? KuteKerri: I only have one club, surely thats enough!! Well it's a big club with many facets, the dance floor is only one part of it. Actually I don't know if it is really a club at all, more a place of discovery that becomes a club around the time of the each of the eight sabbats. I only celebrate the sabbats as I don't have time to run a club full time and also I love to change things for each celebration. Adding fire for Beltane or turning it into an 'ice palace' for Yule. Oh I do have a secret little club/ice hotel which never got completed call Klub Kool maybe I will open it for Yule party this year, who knows. Claire: Do you intend to run more frequent parties? KuteKerri: I don't think so but now I have moved the music stage to the center of the club I have an idea of maybe doing a weekly, I am not sure what you call it, 'open mic' or 'jamming' session. That might be fun. I am still thinking over that one.
Claire: What type of guests do you have at the Club? KuteKerri: Guests? Everybody is a guest and welcome to come at any time 27/7. Of course we normally have special guests on party nights. The DJ Angelos is our resident DJ and has supported the club since the start as have the Sexy Vixens band and now we have the Fallen Angles dance team too. Claire: What were the main problems you found at the beginning and how did you sort them out? Claire: I guess you mean when I came to rlc. Well believe it or not I am very shy, I suppose that's why I took up deco instead of doing some of the others common things in rlc. I came here to sort of find myself and it was and still is difficult to make friends for me. I am not interested in a quick sexual encounter as alot are here so it was diffcult sometimes when being hit on. Building the club helped, it gave me a focus and of course I have met alot of lovely people because of it. Claire: Tell me about you. How long have you been here and what do you like more in RLC? KuteKerri: About me? I don't think you have got enough space on this website for that haha! Ok I few things. I am Polish and I live in UK and love it here, so you can guess how nervous I am right now after this referendum :( sad times! Anyway, I have just reached 21 so I am feeling old now. I like to write depressing poems as you may have seen from my blog. haha! I was born on the summer solstice so I guess that had a big bearing on my beliefs. I have been in rlc for about 18 months now, wow it feels so much longer!! I like being able to have my own space and do what I want and the freedom to chat to people from all countries and walks of life which I could never do that in real life. Claire: Do you have a preferred gender? Which is it? KuteKerri: Oh right, I wondered when you would ask that. Ok well I guess you would call me bisexual as I have had relationships with both boys and girls. One of the reasons I came here I suppose was to find out what interested me sexually. And I guess I learned I like girls much more than boys. Sorry guys!! It's not that I dislike guys but I guess with them it has to be more mental for me than physical. If that makes sense. Where as I do find girls just more attractive. Claire: Is there any special significant one worth to mention? KuteKerri: You are talking about one special person? Sure I do and she know who she is, she has been with me from almost day one here and a huge kiss and kuddles to her. I have had two girlfriends here but it's so sad that circumstances seem to always get in the way and it's heart breaking when people leave. That is the one side of rlc that I really dont like but I guess that's just the same in real life too. Claire: Who are your preferred artists in movies? KuteKerri: Well I don't watch many movies really mostly things like Pixar or Dreamworks animations. Of course I have a crush on Jessica Rabbit but who doesn't. I watch films to be cheered up and I don't watch deep or emotional ones as I get too easily upset. One of my favourite non animation films is called 'MVP: Most Valuable Primate' and stars a chimp called Jack, does that count!!! Claire: What’s your favourite music type and respective groups, singers or players? KuteKerri: I like most music but especially rock music. My dad used to play classic bands like AC/DC and Ironmaiden in the car so I guess I got brainwashed. Tori Amos was always an inspiration to me when I was growing up and learning to play the piano. But Rammstein is fine too!!!! Claire: Is there any special message you would like to send to our readers? KuteKerri: Enjoy your life both in rl and in rlc. We are all special people and we all have the gift of being able to help make each other to feel good. You don't have to be pagan, wiccan, christian or label yourself with any badge just pride yourself on your uniqueness. Above all be kind to yourself and others. There is a text I recommend everybody should read called Desiderata. It was written by Max Ehrmann in 1927 and it says things much more poetically than I ever could. Merry Part and Blessed Be!
