Hello to all my wonderful sisters, if you have a hankering for some GREAT music, I have wonderful news. There is a new female owned & operated 5 mixed Genre (Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock-a-Billy & Southern Rock) dance club on the scene called: Bayou Harmony Juke Joint. It is owned by Simply_Jen and her real life 1/2 sister Blissful_ Essence. Simply_Jen is simply a wonderful young woman and does a great job of running the club. This reporter recently was at her club and had a chance to ask her the some questions.

Hypatia: So Jen, how did you and your sister Blissful _Essence decide to get into the club business?

Simply_Jen: Well I do have some past experience in running a club, as I used to own Club Purgatory a few years back, which was a Rock music club. But this type of club has always been my dream.

Hypatia: It must take a lot of money to open and run a successful dance club, so how are you funding Bayou Harmony?

Simply_Jen: Well initially, my half-sister, Blissful_Essence provided the funding. Then once we opened, our patrons have been generous with their donations.Our DJ's are Great & part of our RLC Family we promote each others clubs their support & advice has been wonderful. We also have done several Deco jobs & the wages earned have gone into the club.

Hypatia: That does indeed sound wonderful, what else are you doing to raise money?

Simply_Jen: We also have Gator Bait cage that brings in rays (works like the jail in other clubs). We have a 50/25/25 raffle that will be offered once a month. We are designing and building a "Bayou" home that is currently 3/4's complete. Once it is finished, we will begin offer patrons to "Buy a Piece of the Bayou" In the South there our communities such as fish camps & that is something like what we are offering is a friendly community like atmosphere. All the money raised, will go back into running the club.

Hypatia: That sounds just wonderful. What are the hours of operation for Bayou Harmony?

Simply_Jen: We are open Tuesday 2-6 PM EST, Friday 4-8 PM EST, and both Saturday & Sunday 3 - 7 PM EST.

Hypatia: Is there anything else you would like to say?

Simply_Jen: Yes, We invite everyone to come check us out, we are a drama free, fun & friendly club. Enjoy the serene ambiance of the Bayou, grab your pet gator and have a pint of shine on us. If your looking for a fun, new experience, come check us out.
